About The Wine
The lower yielding part of the Montals is where they now also have the new Marcenca de Montsant vineyard in the village of Montsant, where the soils have more limestone, which produced the 2021 Guix Vermell. It is a perfumed and floral wine, a bit heady and very expressive. It feels light on its feet and has energy and light. This is spicier, with more depth and complexity and an exotic note not present in the Marcenca de Montsant, but they do have a very similar profile. Ethereal and perfumed. Beautiful. RP
