Adelina is a boutique vineyard and winery in the Springfarm sub-region of Clare. They run their farm with organic principles. The plantings of well established Shiraz, Grenache and Pedro Ximenez, dating back to the turn of the 20th century; plus some recent plantings of Shiraz, Mataro and Malbec are ACO certified. This chocolaty, silky Shiraz evokes luscious black currant, cherry and plum fruit, with gentle floral, ground pepper and earthy spice beneath. The fruit-driven palate is rich but with acidity aplenty, and a fistful of muscular, spicy tannins.

Managed by Paul Hobbs, the legendary winemaker, Crossbarn is crafting some of the most sought-after Pinot Noir from Sonoma County. Crossbarn wines offer a pure and youthful expression of fruit blended from diverse vineyards within California’s finest appellations. With aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, and a hint of anise. The palate is focused with well-integrated layers of blueberry, cranberry, and bergamot. A lifted acidity and silky texture add tension to the lingering finish. Vintage 2021 has earned 92pt from James Suckling, cheers!

The oldest wine house in the Champagne region (Aÿ, 1584), Gosset consistently produces “finely sculpted” wines of “striking clarity and precision” (Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate). High-quality fruit sourced almost entirely from grand-cru and premier-cru vineyards brings richness and complexity to the fore. Malolactic fermentation is avoided to allow for a profoundly fresh, pure, fruit-forward, and aromatic expression, as well as a more dynamic attack. Purely Chardonnay-based, it is the first edition of Gosset Celebris Blanc de Blancs Vintage. It boasts elegant notes of citrus fruit and white flowers.

If you want to understand more about Barolo and Nebbiolo, Ceretto is the benchmark label. Ceretto, founded in the 1930s, is Barolo’s unofficial ambassador. After proving that Barolo is one of the world’s great wines, the producer was the region’s first to acquire vineyard plots, and went on to pioneer premium single vineyard wines. Ceretto's Barolo 'Bricco Rocche' is a wine of great complexity and aristocratic elegance, born in the highest vineyard in the town of Castiglione Falletto and aged for 24 months in oak barrels. It expresses rich, deep aromas of jammy wild berries, chocolate and sweet spices. A refined freshness and a pleasant tannic texture support the long, articulate, juicy taste.

Domaine Michel Noëllat is a historic Burgundy producer, founded in the 19th century by Felix Noëllat. Today, it is run by 5th generation family members Alain and Jean-Marc Noëllat, and the 6th generation of Sebastien Noëllat and Sophie Noëllat-Sirugue.   The Noëllat family is the centre of an extraordinary network of connected families across the Côte de Nuits. The estate is well connected geographically too;  based in Vosne-Romanée, with the cellars directly opposite Clos de Réas, they are close to Domaine Leroy. Deep colour and elegant nose with many layers of fruit, spices and forest floor, the palate is fresh, with a present and friendly tannin. A fine and harmonious wine.

The historic Napanook Vineyard, one of the oldest vineyards in the Napa Valley that has been in production since the late 19th century, is the home of Christian Moueix of Chateau Petrus' Dominus. Located in the heart of Napa Valley, Dominus is an iconic wine that never lacks bold intensity and power. The vineyard’s volcanic, well-draining soils are specifically suited to growing Bordeaux varietals, and winemaker Tod Mostero vinifies each dry-farmed parcel separately. Attention to detail is unparalleled, with minimal intervention allowing the terroir to fully express itself in the wine. This throws off dense kirsch and linzer torte aromas and flavors, along with a mix of smoldering tobacco, leather and licorice root hints that provide a brooding edge on the back end. Surprisingly backward and impressively done.
