Amarone, together with Barolo and Brunello, represents Italian wine royalty. Uniquely rich, vibrant and powerfully concentrated, it is the most potent expression of Valpolicella.
Tommasi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2015 - 6 Bottle Pack
Tommasi was founded in 1902 in Valpolicella Classica by Giacomo Tommasi and is now run by the fourth generation of the family. The family owns 105 hectares here, making it the largest family owned vineyard estate in Valpolicella.
Grapes are grown at about 300 metres about sea level with soils of volcanic origin. The 2015 is a wonderful interpretation of the classic style of the appellation with aromas of juicy cherries alongside dried fruit, liquorice and sweet almonds. It is full-bodied and complex but notably supple, with soft tannins.
