    Gosset

    The Historic Champagne Maker

Being the oldest wine house in Champagne and the favorite of the kings and queens of France, Gosset champagnes has been perceived as one of the most prestigious luxury champagnes worldwide.

With more than 430 years wine making history, Champagne Gosset’s style is based on a philosophy that aims to utilize all the grapes and terroir have to offer and to minimize other inputs. Pure, precise, elegant and textured, along with remarkable longevity are what Gosset champagnes present in their flavours. By carefully avoiding malolactic fermentation, Gosset is well known for preserving the “balance between freshness, fruit and vinosity, without masking the wine’s character or purity.”

Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs is the precious concentration of the terroir of about fifteen villages from Côte des Blancs but also Côte des Noirs. Vinified and aged on lees to eliminate all risk of premature oxidation. Malolactic fermentation is carefully avoided in order to preserve all the natural fruit aromas of the wine and to allow the wines to undergo longer ageing. A low brut dosage has been chosen to maintain the balance between freshness, fruit and vinosity without masking the wine’s personality and purity. Its colour is delicately pale gold. This bright and well-structured champagne offers white flowers mingled with lightly toasted notes on the nose and has a silky touch and a harmonious palate. The finesse and elegance of this cuvée makes it a perfect aperitif. Its freshness lends itself to numerous food pairings.

« A stylish Blanc de Blancs, that brings both the finesse of Côte des Blancs and the structure of Montagne de Reims. » Odilon de Varine, Cellar Master.
