The 2018 Chardonnay B.A. Thieriot Vineyard is shy at this stage, offering touches of gunflint, saline and white blossom with notes of hazelnut, toast and quince. The medium-bodied palate takes its time to open to bright, tangy flavor layers in a rounded, satiny frame and with a long finish. RP
It has detailed, layered aromas of jasmine, quince, dried tarragon, chamomile, beeswax and candle smoke, picking up more nuance as it airs in the glass. The medium-bodied palate is satiny and intense, beginning with bright citrus and stone that segue to honeyed tones, and it finishes with tremendous length. RP
