The 2019 Enclos Tourmaline offers up aromas of plums, wild berries, sweet spices, loamy soil and creamy new oak. Full-bodied, ample and succulent, it's elegantly muscular, with an ample core of fruit, lively acids and powdery tannins. Derived from holdings on the plateau respectively located between Le Pin and Trotanoy, opposite Clinet, and opposite the chateau of La Fleur-Petrus, this is the most serious Pomerol in Peter Kwok's portfolio.
This has very fresh, lively and attractive wet earth and hints of black truffle and violets. The palate has a very deep, plush and velvety texture with a very fresh and fluid tannin structure, carrying long and fresh. The tannins build on the palate. Blue fruit abounds here, full of pleasure and promise. JS
