Fine, exotic spice hovers over pure cherry and macerated strawberry fruits, with hints of stewed rhubarb, mushroom risotto, forest floor and light, gamey notes. Fine, lacy acidity drives things along nicely. The wine lingers endearingly, gently fading with shades of spiced cherry, pressed flowers and roasting game meats. Lots to like here. JH
