The region is composed of eight appellations, namely, from north to south, Médoc, Haut-Médoc, Saint-Estèphe, Pauillac, Saint-Julien, Listrac-Médoc, Moulis, and Margaux, each with its unique terroir farmed in a more and more sustainable way nowadays.
