Located to the south of Australia, Tasmania is an island state separated from the mainland by Bass Strait. With its pristine and natural landscapes, the small island has a global reputation on producing premium cool-climate wines, especially the terroir-driven Pinot Noir and high-quality sparkling wines, made with the influence of Indian and Pacific Oceans.
Jansz produced Tasmania’s first sparkling made using the traditional method, and is considered as one of the most highly-regarded houses in Australia. Located in Pipers River Dalrymple is a small 12-hectare estate mostly planted with Pinot Noir made into single-site bottlings. On 28 Sep (Wed), Mr. Peter Caldwell, winemaker of Jansz and Dalrymple, will join us online and introduce the unique characteristics of the wines from this isolated island.
