Montes was founded in 1988 by Aurelio Montes Sr. along with three other partners, with the philosophy of producing “first growth” wines from Chile. Upon the creation of the Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon, the first “premium” wine to be exported from Chile, Montes is considered as the iconic expression of quality wines from Chile, proving the wines of the country are on a par with other best example around the world.

On 17 Jun (Fri), Ms. Gabriela Negrete, winemaker of Montes, will join us online to share the adventure behind Folly, one of the best Syrah in Chile sourced from the steepest and highest slopes of their vineyards in Apalta, Colchagua Valley. To celebrate the new-vintage release, we will be tasting 6 vintages of Folly vertically and explore the evolution of this iconic Chilean Syrah.
