Thistledown Wines is a collaboration wine project between two Master of Wines – Giles Cooke MW and Fergal Tynan MW. The goal is to hunt down the top parcels of fruit in South Australia, with Grenache being the calling card of the estate. Top-notch parcels of old-vine Grenache were carefully sourced from McLaren Vale to produce world-class terroir-driven wines.
On 9 Dec (Thu), Paddy Gilhooly, Director of Sales of Thistledown Wines, will share the journey on rediscovering and crafting exceptional Grenache from old Australian vineyards, and also the unique story behind each fascinating wine label. Wines always taste better when there is a good story behind it.
