Only in the 1970s does Cabernet Sauvignon find its home in Tuscany, of which the red wines are virtually synonymous with Sangiovese. The late-ripening grape thrives in the seaside region Bolgheri with the warm Mediterranean climate and stony soils. Since then, the fame of Super Tuscans is unstoppable, and Ornellaia has been one of the first and most successful estates producing world-class wines with international varieties on the Tuscan coast.
On 10 Jun (Thu), we will have Patrick Lachapèle, representative of Ornellaia, to share the story of the estate and discover the secrets of this Super Tuscan with tasting three wines with us - Le Volte, Le Serre Nouve, and more importantly Ornellaia, which was described as “one of the best wines made in Italy” by Wine Advocate.
