A herbaceous nose of sage and roasted rosemary with notes of leather and lots of ripe red fruit as well. Full-bodied with a smooth texture and fine, well-integrated tannins. Rich and lush fruit coats the palate, together with a lovely note of fresh mint. Long finish. JS

The 2018 Pinot Noir Day One is a bit youthfully closed, offering tar, blackberries, dried flowers and earth with touches of laurel on the nose. Medium-bodied, it's grainy and ultra juicy, with spicy fruits and an uplifted finish. Give it another year or two in bottle. RP
