Médoc is arguably the most famous wine region within Bordeaux, with more than 600 chateaux and almost 1,000 brands, including the most prestigious crus of the Classification of 1855 , creating a vast diversity of wines from some of the most historic vineyards planted since the 14th century, and the state-of-the-art winemaking expertise and technology.

The region is composed of eight appellations, namely, from north to south, Médoc, Haut-Médoc, Saint-Estèphe, Pauillac, Saint-Julien, Listrac-Médoc, Moulis, and Margaux, each with its unique terroir farmed in a more and more sustainable way nowadays.
