The palate is very balanced, fleshy, with a noble and suitable woodiness.

Coates & Seely Rose NV 75cl

Coates & Seely is a joint venture between Christian Seely and Nicholas Coates. They had an unshakeable belief, and a burning desire to make, one day, a sparkling wine to rival the best in the world. Using time-honoured French traditional winemaking methods, they have achieved just that. In 2017 their wines were voted the Best Overall Wine, the Best Sparkling Wine, the Best Blanc de Blancs and the Best Sparkling Rosé in the UK (UK Wine Awards, 2017). And their wines are listed in many Michelin‐starred restaurant around the world.    This sparkling Rose is bright, delicate and tensile with notes of rose petal, white peach and strawberry.

Ceretto Barolo Bricco Rocche 2018 75cl

Ripe red berries on the nose, together with some bitter-orange marmalade and spice. If you dig deep down, there’s an emerging note of truffle. Lovely, nascent complexity that’s also reflected on the medium-to full-bodied palate, which is tightly packed with all the goodies that the nose promised. The tannins firm up a bit at the end and need to soften a little to get full enjoyment. But so tempting now! JS

Michel Noellat Clos de Vougeot 2021 75cl

Domaine Michel Noëllat is a historic Burgundy producer, founded in the 19th century by Felix Noëllat. Today, it is run by 5th generation family members Alain and Jean-Marc Noëllat, and the 6th generation of Sebastien Noëllat and Sophie Noëllat-Sirugue.   The Noëllat family is the centre of an extraordinary network of connected families across the Côte de Nuits. The estate is well connected geographically too;  based in Vosne-Romanée, with the cellars directly opposite Clos de Réas, they are close to Domaine Leroy. Deep colour and elegant nose with many layers of fruit, spices and forest floor, the palate is fresh, with a present and friendly tannin. A fine and harmonious wine.

Dominus Estate Napa Valley 2020 75cl

Aromas of blackcurrants, black cherries, hints of graphite, wet earth, and lavender. Sandalwood. Full-bodied with an impressive and refined structure that runs deep and vertical in the wine. Chewy. Hints of chocolate and hazelnut at the end. JS
