    We are pleased to invite you to a wine dinner hosted by Mr. Fabio Alessandria, owner and winemaker of Azienda Vitivinicola Comm. G.B. Burlotto, who will visit Hong Kong in March.

    Located in the village Verduno, the historic family winery was founded in 1850 by Giovan Battista Burlotto, known as “Commendatore”, a title of distinction awarded by the king for his fundamental contribution to the early days of Barolo production. Unlike other producers in the 19th century who bought in grapes and sold wines in barrels and demijohns, the family was one of the forerunners in the region to purchase vineyards to produce and sell estate wines in bottles.

    Today, the winery is managed by the fifth generation Fabio Alessandria who crafts cult Barolos in a very traditional way from their vineyard holdings in Verduno, a small parcel in the sacred cru Cannubi, and Castelletto in Monteforte d'Alba. The crème-de-la-crème Monvigliero is a Barolo all about finesse, structure and fragrance, made by grapes in whole clusters, soft-pressed by foot with an extended maceration period.
