One of the most prestigious and ancient vineyards in the Medoc, the Terroir of Léoville Las Cases is a paradise for Cabernet Sauvignon. Such as a Clos in Burgundy, the 55 hectares vineyard is composed of 8 types of soils and more than 54 different subsoils. Planted on the former bed of the Gironde River, the vineyard benefits of a complex mosaic of red clay, blue clay, gravel, sand, flintstone, quartz and marlstone rocks. The combination of soils and the proximity to the river bring to the wine its unique complexity, density and minerality that all the wine lovers are looking for.
