Chateau Lafon-Rochet

Château Lafon-Rochet, a family-owned estate, is very dear to us. Every intention, everything we do matters to preserve our most precious possession: the complex and unique terroir on which our vines grow.

A constant challenge, we meet it with passion. A story being written, we tell it with joy. A fine wine that reveals itself with age, we share it with pleasure.

At Lafon-Rochet, 40 hectares of vines cover two outcrops in Saint-Estèphe. On one side, gravels ensure excellent natural drainage; on the other, clay regulates an excess or lack of water, providing the vines with what they need.

The vineyard is planted mostly with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, together with small parcels of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot which, in some years, will surprise us. The vines used for our first wine are at least 35 years old.
