The 2013 Volnay 1er Cru les Brouillards felt a little raw on the nose, especially following the fleshier les Angles. The palate is better with taut tannins and a core of strawberry and raspberry fruit, but it attenuates toward the finish. Hopefully it will gain some flesh by the end of its maturation. RP
