    Chateau Lagrange

A Unique Place Destined for Wine Growing

The history of Château Lagrange dates back to the Middle Ages. At that time the word “Grange” meant a large estate with houses, a church and agricultural buildings. Certain vine plots today bear witness to this rich past, having kept their original names such as “Hospital” and “Chapel”. Perched on two beautiful Gunzian gravel ridges, Lagrange’s 118-hectare vineyard spreads over an impressive single block in the Saint-Julien appellation. There must be no compromise in the quest for excellence, such has been the philosophy at this 3rd Classified Growth property for countless decades. An exceptional terroir along with a unique technical approach tailored with precision and innovation, these are the keys to making elegant, distinguished wines boasting a great potential for ageing in the bottle.

In this episode of «Confidences by Watson's Wine #2», chef Samuel LEE and head sommelier Maxime VERDIER at Shangri-La Paris has paired deep fried taro puffs, a traditional Hong Kong dim sum with the red from Lagrange.
