Today, Johann Henschke, the 6th generation of the family, carries on the family’s grapegrowing and winemaking traditions, with his international experiences in some of the most famous wineries, including Leeuwin Estate, Felton Road, Isole e Olena and Arietta.
The estate is renowned for its exquisite single-vineyard bottlings, including Mount Edelstone, which marks its 60th anniversary release with the vintage 2012, produced from ungrafted and dry-grown Shiraz vines with more than 100 years of age. The legendary Hill of Grace is their flagship wines and considered one of the best wines of Australia. It is sourced from a vineyard planted in 1860s, farmed according to biodynamic and organic principles, with extremely low yield producing fruits with incomparable texture and complexity.
