Frankland Isolation Ridge Syrah 2022
The 2022 Isolation Ridge Syrah leads with a sumptuous nose of raspberry and milk chocolate, olive tapenade and apricot blossom, fresh grated nutmeg, black cherry and caper brine. In the mouth, the flavors are shaped by ferruginous tannins and a sway of crushed rocks and minerals through the finish. This is pure and unfettered, with the oak largely invisible. The texture in the mouth is gritty, gravelly and fine, with layers of asphalt and rose petals. This is a super wine, really impressive and unforced in feeling. RP
