Matured for 14 months on the lees in French oak puncheons, the nose leads with mulberry compote, licorice, raspberry and dark chocolate. In the mouth, the wine is supple and spicy, loaded with red and black fruit flavor and lit up by a constellation of exotic spice. This is delicious drinking here, really good. 14.9% alcohol, sealed under srew cap. RP

Smoky barrel ferment aromas kick off proceedings. The oak, nicely embedded. Full-bodied and polished, this will age well despite the eminent approachability. Satsuma plum, cinnamon, orange zest and lilac, with some vanillin-cedar oak tannins draped across the pushy finish. A well considered wine, wrapping an element of sophistication into a crowd pleasing package. JS
