The story of Bodega Catena Zapata is more or less the story of Argentine wine. After planting their first Malbec vineyard in Mendoza in 1902, the family has been crafting multiple award-winning wines with pioneering the experiment on extremely high altitude vineyards on the Andes Mountains, most notably Adrianna Vineyard, which is hailed as the South America’s Grand Cru.
On 15 Oct (Thu), Ernesto Bajda, Winemaker of Catena Zapata, will explain to us the essence of this magical vineyard of exceptionally high elevation of almost 1,500 metres above sea level, where the two first-ever Wine Advocate’s 100-point South American wines were produced.
