Assyrtiko is closely associated with the intense yet fresh and Riesling-like mineral-scented whites of the scenic island of Santorini. In the north, Xinomavro produces powerful reds sometimes considered as “The Greek Barolo” in the mountainous Naoussa and Amyndeon regions.

On 6 Aug (Thu), Lambros Papadimitriou of Domaine Sigalas, which is deemed as a master producer of Assyrtiko on Santorini, will join hands with the Boutaris family of Ktima Kir-Yianni of Naoussa, an iconic estate specialising in Xinomavro, to discover the authentic spirit and essence of the Dionysian magic on the lands of Greece.
